I really liked it. You have such a tongue-in-cheek way of writing dialogue that has me snorting/choking on my coffee as I read.

Just a heads-up for Firefox users: the website seems to cut off the last few lines. I was so determined to read the end that I fired up IE to see it.

I love your characters' voices. I've always been impressed with how you can paint pictures of such real people in so few words; I really think you have a flair for the short story form. Plus, I totally want to be you when I grow up.

Heartbreaking and yet so simple - not overwrought at all. And yet just saying that her breathing slowed was enough to choke me up.

Also very funny. Not that scene, but .. you know ... others.
