The first rule of fanfiction is that you don't talk about fanfiction. The second rule of fanfiction is that YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT FANFICTION.

If you don't want to watch the video, the short version is, The Used are answering fan-submitted questions. Someone (who I would like to punch in the throat) asks them if they read fanfiction. Bert honestly has no idea what that means. Jepha (of course) knows all about it, and he explains it to the others, who are completely skeeved out.

And now it's just a matter of time until someone shows Bert's drunk ass how to work the internet. If he was disturbed by the abstract concept of fanfiction, the reality of what we write about him is going to send him back into the loving arms of heroin.

I know I should be grateful I got to see three shows before Bert died, but I was hoping for at least two more.

Perhaps I am overreacting.

I want to make a website with a database of pages I create that people can easily navigate and then comment on anonymously and I'm not sure what to use. I want it to be a place where people can contribute interpretations of song lyrics, so I'd want a top-level directory of links to each page/entry. So a blog/LJ format wouldn't work. Facebook is too messy. I have webspace and I can set up a domain name, but the last time I tried to do anything that's not basic HTML I cried. Any ideas?
